Kim often refers to herself as a “Jill of All Trades” or as having had a “very non-linear career path”, which is her way of sharing that she is a lifelong learner with a voracious appetite for continuous improvement. She brings over two decades of leadership and management experience to her coaching and consulting practice. Having worked 10 years apiece in both the public and private sectors, her time with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office and Fremont Police Department, provided her with a unique perspective on leadership and community, problem-solving, and effective communication. Her experience as a business owner, operating a children’s fitness franchise and all-natural snack business, provided her insights into entrepreneurship and strategic decision-making. 

Ultimately, she transitioned from law enforcement to the tech sector, and has spent the last 9+ years in high-impact leadership roles at TikTok, Workday, and Checkr, Inc. She has built and scaled high-performing teams on the front lines of business operations, compliance and trust & safety, driving success through strategic leadership and innovative thinking. Having excelled in various roles and functions, she’s found excitement in coaching individual contributors and leaders across all levels to unlock their full potential and achieve success beyond their expectations. Collaborating with teams to strategize and set goals, she strives to create an environment where every team member can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the organization's objectives. 

Kim holds degrees from Saint Mary’s College; a BS in Psychology and a MA in Organizational Leadership which has provided her with a solid foundation for understanding team dynamics and organizational culture. She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and holds an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential with the International Coaching Federation.

A San Francisco Bay Area native, Kim still calls the Bay home. Outside of her professional pursuits, Kim loves exploring the outdoors with her Doberman, Dexter, trying new foodie trends and recipes, checking destinations off her bucket list, tackling home improvement projects, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
