Doubling Down: A Commitment to Meaningful Change
As a first-generation U.S.-born Latina of immigrant heritage, Kim has often been one of the few—if not the only—Latinx leaders in the room. This experience has fueled her passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and strengthened her resolve to drive meaningful change.
In the world of coaching, this means ensuring that underrepresented voices have access to the guidance, mentorship, and support they need to break through ceilings and navigate challenges. Kim has dedicated her career to fostering opportunities, building inclusive communities, and championing equity in leadership.
Her leadership at Checkr as President and Co-Lead of Womxn of Checkr for four years reflects her unwavering commitment to advocacy, belonging, and empowerment. She understands that real progress requires consistent action, bold conversations, and a commitment to removing barriers so everyone has a fair chance to succeed.
As part of this mission, Kim has committed a portion of her coaching practice to pro bono work with underrepresented professionals—particularly women of color. Through this initiative, she seeks to break down barriers and improve access to coaching and development opportunities, catalyzing transformative progress for women of color in the workplace.
For Kim, DEI is more than a framework—it’s a lifelong commitment. Through her work, she is not only amplifying underrepresented voices but also creating a foundation of empowerment, opportunity, and change.
